Ingredients
- 1 packet of yeast
- 2c of warm water
- 1tbsp of sugar
- 1 1/2 c of flour
- 2 eggs
- 2 c warm milk
- 1 stick of butter melted
- 6 1/2 to 7 c of flour
Directions
- Mix together the first 4 ingredients until a "pancake" like batter is made in a large bowl. Cover and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Add the rest of the ingredients, mixing well until the dough is firm and not too sticky. Put into a very large oiled bowl, flipping the dough to cover it in oil, cover and let prove for about an hour. It should double in size.
- Punch down, flip again, and prove for about an hour.
- Divide dough into small portions and fill with desired fillings.
- Fry in oil heated to about 350 until golden brown on both sides. Serve with sour cream.
